FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer emergency well pump repair?
Yes. No water is an emergency and we treat it like one. We provide same-day emergency response across the Fort Worth metro area and surrounding North Texas counties.
How much does well pump repair cost?
Straightforward repairs typically run $200–$800. If the pump needs to be pulled from the well, expect $800–$2,500+ depending on well depth. We diagnose first so you only pay for what you actually need.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Fort Worth and the entire North Texas region including Tarrant, Parker, Wise, Denton, Hood, Johnson, and Somervell counties. If you're on well water in North Texas, we can get to you.
Is my well water safe to drink?
It depends on your specific water test results. We recommend annual water testing at minimum. Some wells produce water that meets all EPA standards naturally, while others need filtration.
How often should I have my well inspected?
We recommend annual inspections. They catch small problems before they become expensive emergencies — checking pump performance, pressure tank condition, water quality, and electrical components.
Do I need a water softener?
Almost certainly if you're on well water in North Texas. Our water commonly tests 15–30+ grains per gallon of hardness. A properly sized softener protects your plumbing and appliances.
How long does a well pump last?
Submersible well pumps typically last 10-15 years in Texas. Quality installation, proper sizing, and regular maintenance extend pump life significantly.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Legacy Water Well holds all required Texas TDLR licensing for well work. We carry full liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage.
